florensics |ˈflôˈrenziks|
noun
the result of the application of photographic methods and techniques to the detailed investigation of flora culminating in a scientific and romantic aesthetic.
Auditory Visuals
These seven photographs convey different sounds through the imagery of pressed flowers. Bright and brassy; snow falling on snow; the annoying focal point of sustained ‘ringing’ in the ear. There is an underlying composition of sound (and its absence) accompanying the more apparent composition of color, shape and subject.
